'The Life of A Flower'I started my life without strife,
A seed was me deep down inside.
Sheltered by the rock and dirt,
And blind to all that I could not perceive.
My heart was full of simplistic wonder -
Of love and dreams and places I'd never seen.

But I blinked once and I blinked twice.
Suddenly I realized how cruel this world was to me.
"How did I never see?" was my questioning.
Innocence knocked loose, an upward struggle grabbing tree roots.
I heaved upward, unhappy with my life.
I broke earth's surface and saw the light
And I found myself a new form of love;
Heavy yet full of wonder still.

I sat beneath a great tree and looked ahead.
Aroused

The Art of DyingSlowly, at first, the light will leave your eyes,
And you may be surprised to find the cold it leaves behind.

Next, let go of every dream, fancy, and whisy,
Everything will turn black and white, once the colors bleed away.

After impact, the sad fact you'll come to terms with next,
Is the devastating blow of being alone, with no place to call home.

Finally, a gentle pair of arms will crease around you;
Leading you back to the lands of virtue.
Don't fight it:
You may go the other way,
Down the wrong path,
Across the wrong avenue.

A writter's faultThe hardest part of writing
is not the story line or the plot.
It's not the characters, the setting.
The places you draw a lot.

It isn't about the seasons that make the story change,
and certainly not the years that pass.
It's not the coming of age
your characters go through when dealing with their past.

The hardest part isn't the beginning.
Middle.
Or end.
It's not the daring hearoes, or the dual personality villians.

No, actually, it's what you do;
the words that you write to make one character fall,
the one that answers to his Call.
The hardest thing is killing them off,
When they really shouldn't have died at all.

PainParanoid suicide
Razor blades and iodine
Fill me with that drug divine
Let's take a pill and sip some wine.

Dead in a ditch
Life's a bitch
Why won't you flip a switch?
I need some pain to fill the glitch.

I need to be locked in my brain,
I need to feel like less than a stain,
Put me in chains,
Strike up the pain-
I'd rather know pain than know my own name.

The Perfect Present"The Perfect Present"

During the winter season on a night very cold
Where the frosty breeze sends shivers down your spine
I met a little boy on the road decades ago
Who looked at the time to be about eight or nine.

I saw him aimlessly wandering from afar
Dodging cars who simply passed him by.
Judging by his ripped clothes he had many scars
And a pair of the most pained blue eyes

Now normally I would have just continued driving.
Who the hell cares about this little ploy?
Its tough enough in this world surviving
Without striving to care about some little boy.

For I asked myself if I was in his shoes
Would he bother to stop his

When Silence Spoke

My head does not want to befriend reality
Persisting as it refuses to deal with normality
Disgusted I am with all forms of humanity
Society gave me nothing and everything but amity

I cannot hear, see nor can I talk due to my fatuity
But still I remain the loyal loving widow of civility
A tear didn't move them, I doubt my scream's dexterity

Looking at me, all they see is Lucifer's vanity
Somewhere in an abyss I lost my reason for Sanity
Suffocating under the dead sea of all formality
While eating me alive; the cannibalistic irregularity

VictimIt's just another name
It's just another day in hell
With people you can't trust
With pain and hate and blood to sell.

They'll push you to your limits
They'll treat you like trash and bring you down
I'm breaking on the inside
Someone should come and save me now.

I'm running on empty
I'm sick of this life, I need a change
I'm done with living like a stranger
I want to come back from the outside, escape my rage.

I'm finished with these slash marks
The pain and hurt and poison on my skin
Can somebody help me?
Please make me feel whole again.

Raised to succeed,
What room do I have for failure,
For laziness and lounging?
I must work, I must read.
I must, I need, I beg, please.
There is no time for pleasure.
The books, my books –
That is the only world which exists outside of me.

My father, my father's lover,
They yell to me:
"Succeed.
That is all we need."
No way to escape
This self-made caged
I must, I need to believe.
To succeed.

For a failure born
Must, needs, lives
To correct it's wrong doing
Of being born so lowly
Of blood, half filled with madness.
So here I go.

Burn After ReadingDear parents and friends,
Enemies and haters:

By the time you read this, I will be dead.
The good die young, but they can't help it.
When the hopes and dreams begin to melt at
the lies, catcalls, jeers, and glares
from superiors who live and breathe to make life unfair.

I'm sorry I had to go this way.
But a bullet through the brain heals everything (right?)
I love life, with all my heart.
But I needed some light after living crippled in the dark.

All I see is black and white,
And it's so blurry, especially at my hunger's height.
I've learned to live with death in the gray,
Because when you're a zombie, there isn't any other way.

The Prophecy of Fire and IceAnd fallen angels will ring the cobalt ladened sky,
and shadows will consume all worlds, known and unkown.
Blood will stain the ground,
death will scream like loud white noise
as the innocent wander blindly into the hands
of the guilty one.
The end of all things will become webs of lies
and cages of truth.

Unless the savior,
born with both Fire and Ice,
fullfills the duties they are given,
and ends the massacre of things left undone.
The savior is one of guilt,
who has never known the love of a human soul,
never loved another,
always in the shadows of the hate they have felt,
always haunted by the torment they were held

"I'm fine..."

{I am in such great pain
These feelings burn my brain
My skin is far too cold
I guess I should have known.

If I try too hard,
If I push too far,
The monster comes alive;
It burns me down inside.

It's just a secret
I can deal with it
No one has to know
The guilt will barely show.

I am invisible
I am intangible
I'm breaking down inside
Trapped by all these lies.

They have cut me down
Under their hate I've drowned
I hate beathing smoke

I'm scared to be alone}

"Are you sure?"
"Yep."
